Why Shannon?

Shannon works as an advocate for his clients, listening to their needs, helping them make informed decisions and importantly, closely managing transactions to push for a timely closing.

For a seller, that means understanding what buyers want, as well as preparing and marketing your home, getting all the necessary disclosures completed and closing the deal.

For a buyer, that means he’s glued to the latest listings, market statistics and knows what’s happening in Alameda and the East Bay neighborhoods and communities he serves.

Working with the stresses and complications of real estate deals is second nature to Shannon. Having bought, overseen renovations and sold successive properties has given him valuable insight into the minds of buyers and sellers alike.

When not at work

Husband. Dad. Son-in-law. Brother. Neighbor. Friend. After his little girl was born, he and his wife moved to Alameda over 10 years ago and fell in love with the neighborhood architecture, friendly people and walkability of the island. Shannon was active at Alameda’s Otis Elementary School, where he volunteered, orchestrated play dates, and just made sure to get to after-school school activities on time! Now, as the parent of a new middle schooler, he’s learning the ropes at Alameda Community Learning Center (ACLC) on the West End of the island.

Recently he completed his latest real estate project. He navigated the city of Alameda’s challenging ADU (Accessory dwelling unit, aka “tiny house”) building process for his mother-in-law’s unit at his home in Alameda. He learned first-hand what it takes to succeed with this kind of project.

Shannon also feels that helping people realize how to help themselves is one of the greatest contributions you can make. On that note, he and his wife led volunteer teams with Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village program to Poland and also participated on a team to rural Hungary to build houses for working families.

Prior to real estate, he had a successful career in corporate sales and management. Shannon earned a B.A. in Radio, Television & Film from Auburn University in Alabama.
